The Sacrament of Baptism is the gateway and foundation for a Christian life. Welcome to this first step towards your initiation into the Catholic faith. Below you will find information for children & adult baptisms here at Santa Clara de Asis.

Birth – age 7
Congratulations on your decision to baptize your child! Baptism is a beautiful beginning to your child’s journey in the Catholic faith, and we are here to support you through the process.
Our Baptismal Preparation Ministry will guide you in understanding the significance of Baptism and the responsibilities that come with raising your child in the faith. You'll also receive instruction on the Baptismal rite itself.
Before scheduling your child’s Baptism, you’ll need to complete our Pre-Baptism Preparation classes. Once completed, we will work with you to schedule an individual Baptism with a priest or deacon.
To begin this journey, families must be registered and active parishioners of Santa Clara de Asis.

We are so excited that you want to enter into the Catholic Church! Welcome. The Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA), formally called RCIA, is the process through with interested adults, and children over 7 years are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life.
OCIA is a communal process throughout the year that assists the potential convert toward the final rite at the Easter Vigil, at which time they become full members of the Catholic Church. IF you want to become Catholic, through Baptism, then this is the place to start. Classes begin in the fall, and will conclude after Easter.
